Cilybebyll Community Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Nia Parr-Williams as the new Clerk to the Council and Responsible Financial Officer as from the 01 October 2018. Nia is currently part time Clerk to Ystalyfera Community Council and will assume her role with Cilybebyll on a similar basis, working independently and in tandem for the two councils. Nia’s experience of working in the town and community councils sector will benefit the Council and residents of the Cilybebyll area. She has also worked in the education sector, is a resident of the Swansea Valley and a former pupil of Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera.
Chairperson of the Council, Yvonne James said: I am delighted that Nia has agreed to join us. Living in Godre’r Graig, Nia is familiar with the type of challenges facing our communities in maintaining services at the most local level, and her commitment and enthusiasm to work with our residents through the Council presents exciting opportunities for the future.”
Nia stated: “I am looking forward to meeting the residents of Cilybebyll and working with Cilybebyll Community Council which has a long history of representing the views of residents and delivering a wide range of services.”
